About "Songs From A Dutch Tour"
With more than a hundred full-color photos, this beautiful book tells the story of Chip & Carrie's final tour of The Netherlands in 2007 and the unusual story behind it.  The book also includes a CD with 12 exclusive tracks that Chip wrote during the tour.

Songs From A Dutch Tour tells the wonderful tale behind Chip's connection to the Dutch starting with an improbable short tour in 1975.  He was surprised to find that he had a wonderful group of fans in Holland including musicians who were ready to accompany him on stage although they had never met or rehearsed.  Not long after this great trip, Chip gave up music completely to devote himself to gambling.

Chip returned to music in the 90s when his mother became critically ill, and released a series of acclaimed albums.  Some of his greatest support came from the people of Holland who still fondly remembered his songs from the 70s.  In fact, some of the friends he met during the tour of 1975 played a crucial role in helping Taylor get his music in front of audiences again.

As most of you know, in 2001 Chip joined together with a young fiddle player named Carrie Rodriguez.  Their three duet albums were both critical and popular successes.  C & C toured all over the world for six years and made fans everywhere.  In 2007, it was time for Rodriguez to strike out on her own.  But before she went solo, Chip & Carrie made one last bittersweet theater tour of Holland. During this farewell tour, Chip wrote a series of songs capturing the events of the tour, his thoughts about ending the partnership with Carrie and the great people he was meeting along the way.
